complete CD cover: Wendy Smith
來自英國威爾斯首府Cardiff的 Wendy Smith，上個世紀七零年代末，因為男友 Stuart Moxham 的關係，開始了唱片封面設計的經歷。Stuart Moxham 先後籌組過「Young Marble Giants」、「The Gist」兩個post punk音樂團體，其中 Young Marble Giants 雖然僅有一張正式專輯《Colossal Youth》，對另類音樂的發展卻有巨大而深遠的影響力（Kurt Cobain 生前曾宣稱 YMG 是他最鍾愛的樂團）。
需要特別說明的是，Young Marble Giants 時期，Wendy Smith 曾隨同該團赴美巡演，擔任攝影師一職；前述《Colossal Youth》的唱片封面卻與 Wendy Smith 無關，專輯發行遠早於巡演之前，該專輯封面實際上是由 Patrick Graham 所拍攝，大部分提到 YMG 的網站，卻因為 Wendy Smith“攝影師”的身份，而宣稱《Colossal Youth》的封面也是由她所拍攝的，這絕對是天大的謬誤（詳見右邊CD封底文字），實際上背面的圖案才是她設計的。
「The Gist」與「Weekend」（YMG女主唱 Alison Statton 後來的樂團）的音樂作品封面，大部分都是由 Wendy Smith 設計，這可能也是她在另類音樂史上留名的主要原因；90年代初，Wendy Smith 因為幫 The Magnetic Fields 繪製專輯封面，曾經短暫重回世人的視野，其後，又從樂壇消失，至今音訊全無。
這裡整理（我所知道）Wendy Smith 所有的唱片封面設計；另外，有兩款攝影為主的封面，因此未註明artwork設計者，但屬於 Wendy Smith 與樂團合作時期，故列入【未知 unknown】存檔；此外，以【延伸 extend】的形式呈現，三款同時期、風格接近、但非 Wendy Smith（卻被誤認）設計的唱片封面；最後，特別將幾位常被弄混、誤植的同名之人及其代表作，以【同名者 namesake】的形式置於最末端。
